Buffalo on a Snowy Morning

SKU: side Categories: ,

One cold winter morning Dad went on a buffalo photo hunt at Vermejo Park in New Mexico.  He found this big guy munching on grass buried under the snow.

An assistant drove their truck about 50 feet from the buffalo.  Dad quickly attached a strobe, powered by a generator in the truck, to the outside of the truck. He waited a few minutes until the sun began to rise behind the buffalo and captured this image.

It’s a good thing Dad worked quickly because this guy wasn’t too happy with the interruption to his breakfast. No buffalos, trucks or people were injured to get this shot.
