Description
Dad had his prey in sight, a cormorant that was drying his wings after diving for a fish. It looked like the day of exploring at the Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge near Lake Texoma, TX would be a success.
The brush near the bird concealed Dad very well, but he needed to be just a little bit closer to fill the frame. Slowly, carefully he snuck a few inches closer. He stopped. The bird seemed unfazed. So Dad resumed his stealthy creeping a few inches even closer. The bird, who obviously heard him this time, turned just enough to see its face. Click and done. Dad returned home a happy camper.
