Cowboy in Adobe Ruins

SKU: BPLPrint18 Category:

In 1988 Dad traveled to Old Tucson Studios, a movie set, in Arizona for this shot. Many movies have been shot at Old Tucson since it was created in 1939. You would recognize Old Tucson in “Gunfight at the O.K. Corral”, “Rio Bravo”, “McLintock!”, “Three Amigos”, “Young Guns” and “Tombstone”.

Dad used the studio’s church and wagon as a backdrop to create a slice of the Old West. Seven years later the church was destroyed in massive fire that swept the studios, but the church lives on in Dad’s picture.
