Great Egret

Description

While cruising around Port Aransas, Texas Dad noticed an egret foraging in a marshy area near the road.  He quickly pulled over and carefully made his way through the reeds toward the bird, all the while watching for snakes.  His photo blind was a small building nestled in the marsh. 

The egret, who knew Dad was near, didn’t seem to mind in the least.  It kept stalking its prey in the marsh, allowing Dad to capture some beautiful backlit images of this elegant bird.
