Dad built the majority of this nostalgic photo in the studio. He purchased new mailboxes and creatively aged them using hammers, paint and other trickery. He used old fence posts and weathered lumber to create the mailbox framework.

Once that was complete, Dad loaded the whole thing on a trailer and headed to the grasslands in southern Oklahoma. A nice day with a brilliant blue sky provided the perfect opportunity to capture a slice of Americana.
