You never know when you’ll make a great friend. Dad traveled to Tucson, Arizona for one of his commercial photo shoots with the intention of doing some stock photography afterward.

He met Red Wolverton at Old Tucson Studios while looking for someone who could supply a bucking bronco. Red was his man. Not only did Red have the horse, he also supplied the cowboy for this sepia-toned shot of the Old West. And just like that a great friendship began. Over the years, Dad and Red would collaborate on many more Old West photos. The rest, as they say, was history.
