Snowy Wonderland

The story behind the photo: Dad’s photo scouting trip in British Columbia, Canada led him to the skies. He hired a helicopter pilot to get him up into the snow-laden mountains around Golden.    Landing in snow on the peak of a mountain can be tricky. But Dad’s pilot was a pro. He found a solid spot to touch down.

Dad scrambled out for a photo shoot. A storm was bearing down on his location, though, and the pilot was itching to get off the mountain shortly after landing. Dad had a scant 15 minutes in this snowy wonder-land to capture photos. He walked away with this photo that really does capture the cold, rugged beauty in the Canadian Rockies.
