Description
The story behind the photo:
Big bad wolves. Just hearing the word brings to mind eerie and mournful howls directed at the moon. Really, those howls are a form of communication with other wolves, either within their pack or to wolves outside the pack.
Wolves used to roam all across North America. But they were almost hunted to the point of extinction in the last century. While they rarely attack humans, they do hunt domesticated animals like cattle as well as deer, elk and moose. The taste for domesticated meat almost caused their demise.
Despite the odds, the wolf is making a rebound. Today your best chance of seeing a wolf would be at a park like Yellowstone, Western states like Alaska and New Mexico or up north in Canada.
In celebration of wolves, Dad took three separate wolf photographs and merged them in Photoshop to create “Trio”.
